Order

1 Title

This order is the Education (Extension of Application Period) Order 2015.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on 1 November 2015.

3 Extension of application period for payment of teacher salaries

The application period defined in section 91A(1) of the Education Act 1989 is extended to 31 December 2018.

4 Revocation

The Education (Extension of Application Period) Order 2012 (SR 2012/204) is revoked.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 November 2015, extends the period during which the salaries of teachers employed at State schools will be paid in accordance with Part 8A of the Education Act 1989. As extended by this order, that period expires with the close of 31 December 2018.
