This notice amends the Fisheries (Total Allowable Catch, Total Allowable Commercial Catch, and Deemed Value Rates) Notice 2015 (the principal notice) to correct an error. The error is that, contrary to the decisions made by the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries, the principal notice does not include annual deemed value rates payable for takings of blue (English) mackerel (EMA7) and gemfish (SKI3, SKI7) that exceed an annual catch entitlement (an ACE) by 10% or less.

This notice corrects the error by giving effect to the Minister’s decisions to set, for takings that exceed an ACE by 10% or less, an annual deemed value rate of—

• 0.26 for blue (English) mackerel (EMA7):

• 0.72 for gemfish (SKI3, SKI7).

This notice is treated as having come into force on 30 September 2025 immediately after the Fisheries (Total Allowable Catch, Total Allowable Commercial Catch, and Deemed Value Rates) Amendment Notice (No 2) 2025 (which made the error) came into force. This notice applies on and from the first day of the fishing year starting on 1 October 2025.
