This order is made under section 2(1) of the Employment Relations Amendment Act 2015 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

2 Commencement of Employment Relations Amendment Act 2015
The Employment Relations Amendment Act 2015 comes into force on 4 April 2016.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings the Employment Relations Amendment Act 2015 into force on 4 April 2016. That Act amends the Employment Relations Act 2000 in order to prohibit an employer from engaging in adverse conduct for a prohibited health and safety reason (as defined in section 89 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015) and to enable an employee to raise a personal grievance where his or her employer has engaged in such conduct.
