Local Government Elected Members (2015/16) (Certain Local Authorities) Determination 2015 Amendment Determination (No 2) 2016: revoked, on 1 July 2016, pursuant to clause 18 of the Local Government Elected Members (2016/17) (Certain Local Authorities) Determination 2016 (LI 2016/158).

Pursuant to clauses 6 and 7A of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002 and to the Remuneration Authority Act 1977, the Remuneration Authority makes the following determination (to which is appended an explanatory memorandum).

Determination

1 Title

This determination is the Local Government Elected Members (2015/16) (Certain Local Authorities) Determination 2015 Amendment Determination (No 2) 2016.

2 Commencement

(1)

Clause 4(1) is deemed to have come into force on 16 April 2016.

(2)

Clause 4(2)(a) is deemed to have come into force on 1 July 2015.

(3)

Clause 4(2)(b) is deemed to have come into force on 15 November 2015.

3 Principal determination

This determination amends the Local Government Elected Members (2015/16) (Certain Local Authorities) Determination 2015 (the principal determination).

4 Schedule 2 amended

(1)

In Schedule 2, item relating to Hurunui District Council, before the item relating to Mayoral car, insert:

District Plan Review meetings
$170 per day

Conditions (District Plan Review meeting fees)

Total maximum amount payable for all councillors for period beginning 16 April 2016 and ending 30 June 2016 must not exceed $3,380.

In Schedule 2,—

(a)

item relating to Palmerston North City Council, item relating to Conditions (District Plan Review meeting fees), replace “$42,133” with “$54,156”:

(b)

item relating to Porirua City Council, item relating to Standing Committee Chairperson, after “Chairperson”, insert “(2)”.

Explanatory memorandum

This memorandum is not part of the determination, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This determination amends the Local Government Elected Members (2015/16) (Certain Local Authorities) Determination 2015 made by the Remuneration Authority in July 2015.

All amendments are made at the request of the councils concerned.

A retrospective determination is required to give effect to the amendments.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
