This order is made under section 2 of the Animal Welfare Amendment Act (No 2) 2015 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

1 Title
This order is the Animal Welfare Amendment Act (No 2) 2015 Commencement Order 2016.
2 Commencement of sections 23 to 26 of Animal Welfare Amendment Act (No 2) 2015
Sections 23 to 26 of the Animal Welfare Amendment Act (No 2) 2015 come into force on 25 August 2016.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings sections 23 to 26 of the Animal Welfare Amendment Act (No 2) 2015 into force on 25 August 2016. Those sections amend Part 3 of the Animal Welfare Act 1999. The affected provisions relate to the consideration and issue of animal welfare export certificates.
