1 Title

These rules are the High Court (Cultural Property (Protection in Armed Conflict) Act 2012) Amendment Rules 2013.

2 Commencement

These rules come into force on 1 July 2013.

3 Principal rules

These rules amend the High Court Rules set out in Schedule 2 of the Judicature Act 1908 (the principal rules).

4 Rule 19.2 amended (Applications under certain enactments)

After rule 19.2(e), insert:
- “(ea) sections 32 and 33 of the Cultural Property (Protection in Armed Conflict) Act 2012:”.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the rules, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These rules make a consequential change to the High Court Rules that is required by the coming into force of the Cultural Property (Protection in Armed Conflict) Act 2012. These rules come into force on 1 July 2013, the date when that Act comes into force.
