Local Government Members (2017/18) (Local Authorities) Amendment Determination (No 2) 2018: revoked (with effect on 1 July 2018, and after expiring on the close of 30 June 2018), on 26 July 2018, pursuant to clause 15 of the Local Government Members (2018/19) (Local Authorities) Determination 2018 (LI 2018/124).

Pursuant to clauses 6 and 7A(1) and (5) of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002 and to the Remuneration Authority Act 1977, the Remuneration Authority, after having regard to the matters specified in clause 7 of that schedule, makes the following determination (to which is appended an explanatory memorandum).

Determination

1 Title

This determination is the Local Government Members (2017/18) (Local Authorities) Amendment Determination (No 2) 2018.

2 Commencement

(1)

Clause 4(1) is deemed to have come into force on 26 January 2018.

(2)

Clause 4(2) is deemed to have come into force on 5 April 2018.

(3)

Clause 4(3) and (4) comes into force on 1 June 2018.

(4)

Clause 4(5) is deemed to have come into force on 1 May 2018.

(5)

The rest of this determination comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

3 Principal determination

This determination amends the Local Government Members (2017/18) (Local Authorities) Determination 2017 (the principal determination).

In the Schedule, Part 1, item relating to Canterbury Regional Council, item relating to Chairperson, replace “162,433” with “162,135”.

This memorandum is not part of the determination, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This determination amends the Local Government Members (2017/18) (Local Authorities) Determination 2017. All amendments are made at the request of the councils concerned.

Clause 4(1) (which relates to Canterbury Regional Council) is deemed to have come into force on 26 January 2018. Clause 4(2) (which relates to Ashburton District Council) is deemed to have come into force on 5 April 2018. Clause 4(3) and (4) (which relates to Hastings District Council) comes into force on 1 June 2018. Clause 4(5) (which relates to Masterton District Council) is deemed to have come into force on 1 May 2018. The rest of this determination comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
