Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 October 2017, amend Schedule 1 of the Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Regulations 1999.
The amendments made by regulation 4(1) are related to the replacement of the Land Transport Rule: Operator Licensing 2007 with the Land Transport Rule: Operator Licensing 2017. The Land Transport Rule is replaced to give effect to a new regulatory system for small passenger services.
The revocations made by regulation 4(2) are consequential on the introduction of that new regulatory system.
