Notice

1 Title

This notice is the Fisheries (Total Allowable Catch, Total Allowable Commercial Catch, and Deemed Value Rates) Amendment Notice (No 2) 2017.

2 Commencement

This notice comes into force on 1 October 2017.

3 Application

This notice applies on and from the first day of the fishing year starting on 1 October 2017.

4 Principal notice

This notice amends the Fisheries (Total Allowable Catch, Total Allowable Commercial Catch, and Deemed Value Rates) Notice 2015 (the principal notice).

5 Schedule 1 amended

In Schedule 1, replace each item relating to a fishstock code specified in column 1 of the Schedule of this notice with the corresponding item in the Schedule.

6 Schedule 2 amended

In Schedule 2, after the item relating to Surf clam—silky dosinia, insert:

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice amends the Fisheries (Total Allowable Catch, Total Allowable Commercial Catch, and Deemed Value Rates) Notice 2015 (the principal notice). It comes into force on 1 October 2017, and applies on and from the first day of the fishing year starting on 1 October 2017.

The amendments to Schedule 1 of the principal notice vary 1 or more of the following for quota management stocks with certain fishstock codes:

the total allowable catch (TAC):
the total allowable commercial catch (TACC):
the interim deemed value rate (interim DVR):
the basic annual deemed value rate (basic annual DVR):
whether the annual DVR is a different rate for each different level by which a commercial fisher’s reported catch exceeds the fisher’s annual catch entitlement, and the different rates that apply to each level (differential DVR).

The variations are as follows (amounts not mentioned below are unchanged):
