Animal Welfare (Cost Recovery) Amendment Regulations 2019

These regulations are made under section 183(1)(e) of the Animal Welfare Act 1999—
(a)
on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and
(b)
on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture made after complying with sections 182 and 184 of that Act.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Animal Welfare (Cost Recovery) Amendment Regulations 2019.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 July 2019.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Animal Welfare (Cost Recovery) Regulations 2015 (the principal regulations).
4 Schedule amended
(1)
In the Schedule, Part 1, table,—
(a)
item 1, in the second column, replace “$21.33”
with “$46.58”
; and
(b)
item 2, in the second column, replace “$77.50”
with “$67.50”
.
(2)
In the Schedule, Part 2, table,—
(a)
item (e), in the second column, replace “$155.00”
with “$135.00”
; and
(b)
item (f), in the second column, replace “$38.75”
with “$33.75”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2019, amend the Animal Welfare (Cost Recovery) Regulations 2015 (the principal regulations). The amendments—
increase the fee for an application for an animal welfare export certificate (see regulation 4(1)(a)); and
decrease the fee for the performance or exercise of a function, duty, or power required under the Animal Welfare Act 1999 or any regulations other than the principal regulations (see regulation 4(1)(b)); and
decrease the assessment charges payable in relation to the performance or exercise of that function, duty, or power (see regulation 4(2)).
