Order

1 Title

This order is the Wildlife Order 2019.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on 2 August 2019.

3 Revocation of this order

[Revoked]

Clause 3: revoked, on 6 May 2022, by clause 7 of the Wildlife Order 2022 (SL 2022/122).

4 Interpretation

In this order, region means a region administered by a Fish and Game Council established under section 26P of the Conservation Act 1987.

5 Schedule 1 of Wildlife Act 1953 amended

In the Wildlife Act 1953, Schedule 1, replace the items relating to partridge and pheasant with:

Partridge:
	Grey partridge (Perdix perdix): except on Chatham Islands
	Red-legged partridge (Alectoris rufa rufa), except— (a) on Chatham Islands; and (b) within the areas (commonly known as upland game preserves) specified in Part 2 of Schedule 3
Pheasant:
	any bird, not being a domestic bird, of the genus Phasianus and any cross of any such bird with any other species, variety, or kind of pheasant, except— (a) on Chatham Islands; and (b) within the areas (commonly known as upland game preserves) specified in Part 2 of Schedule 3

6 Schedule 3 of Wildlife Act 1953 amended

In the Wildlife Act 1953, Schedule 3, above the first item, insert:

Part 1 Wildlife that may be hunted or killed subject to conditions

In the Wildlife Act 1953, Schedule 3, replace the items relating to partridge and pheasant with:
