Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Charitable Trusts Regulations 2019.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 30 September 2019.

3 Interpretation

(1)

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires,—

Act means the Charitable Trusts Act 1957

incorporation number, in relation to a board, means the number allocated to the board by the Registrar when the board is incorporated

New Zealand Business Number means the number allocated to an entity under the New Zealand Business Number Act 2016

4 Transitional, savings, and related provisions

The transitional, savings, and related provisions (if any) set out in Schedule 1 have effect according to their terms.

5 Contents of register

In addition to the information specified in section 11(1) of the Act, the register must contain the following information about any trustees or society incorporated as a board under Part 2 of the Act:

(a)

the date on which the board was registered:

(b)

particulars as to whether the board is—

(i)

registered:

(ii)

subject to removal under section 26 or restoration under section 26AA of the Act:

(c)

the board’s incorporation number:

(d)

the board’s New Zealand Business Number (if any):

(e)

previous names of the board that are known to the Registrar (if any).

1 General

This is a consolidation of the Charitable Trusts Regulations 2019 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.

2 Legal status

A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
