These regulations are made under section 329 of the Accident Compensation Act 2001—
(a)
on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and
(b)
on the recommendation of the Minister for ACC made after complying with the consultation requirements of sections 330 and 331 of that Act.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Accident Compensation (Experience Rating) Amendment Regulations 2022.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 25 March 2022.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Accident Compensation (Experience Rating) Regulations 2019.
4 Regulation 6 amended (Interpretation)
In regulation 6(1), definition of minimum liable earnings, in paragraph (c)(i), replace “$32,760”
with “$36,816”

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 25 March 2022, amend the Accident Compensation (Experience Rating) Regulations 2019. Regulation 4 amends the definition of minimum liable earnings that applies to the levy year starting on 1 April 2021 and ending on 31 March 2022. The minimum liable earnings figure for the 2019/20 tax year is amended from $32,760 to $36,816 to align with the minimum liable earnings figure specified in the Accident Compensation (Work Account Levies) Regulations 2019. This will affect the calculation of levies for the 2021/22 levy year.

1 General
This is a consolidation of the Accident Compensation (Experience Rating) Amendment Regulations 2022 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
2 Legal status
