As part of the enrolment inquiry, this order closes, as at 16 August 2020, the main rolls for all electoral districts. This enables the main rolls to be printed and published as at that date. They will then be available to the public for checking. The making of this order does not preclude the making of a subsequent order later in 2020 or the printing of a composite roll as at writ day. Although this order closes the main rolls for the purposes of printing and inspection, electors may still enrol and update their information before election day. An elector may also enrol and update their information on election day if they are present in New Zealand on that day. This order revokes the Electoral Main Rolls Closing Order 2017.
