This order is made under section 3(3) and (4) of the Airport Authorities Act 1966 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Airport Authorities (Auckland Transport) Order 2020.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 April 2020.
3 Powers in relation to airports
Auckland Transport may exercise the powers conferred on local authorities by section 3 of the Airport Authorities Act 1966.
4 Airport Authorities (Auckland Council) Order 2006 revoked
The Airport Authorities (Auckland Council) Order 2006 (SR 2006/195) is revoked.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 April 2020, gives Auckland Transport the powers described in section 3 of the Airport Authorities Act 1966, including the power to establish, improve, maintain, operate, or manage airports.
Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
Date of notification in Gazette: 20 February 2020.
