Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products (Product Safety Requirements for Vaping Products) Amendment Regulations 2025.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 1 September 2025.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Regulations 2021.

4 Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation)

In regulation 3, revoke the definition of removable battery.

5 Schedule 5 amended

In Schedule 5, revoke clause 19A(b).

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 September 2025, remove the requirement for a vaping device to have a removable battery from the product safety requirements for vaping products.
