These regulations, which come into force on 1 January 2022, amend the Climate Change (Stationary Energy and Industrial Processes) Regulations 2009 (the principal regulations). These regulations replace table 10 in Schedule 2 of the principal regulations to—

• update the default emissions factors for classes of mined or purchased natural gas to take account of changes in gas emissions; and

• add the Cheal and Cardiff, the Copper Moki, and the Supplejack gas fields to the classes of natural gas defined by reference to the field at which they are mined.
