These regulations are made under section 163 of the Climate Change Response Act 2002—
(a)
on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and

1 Title
These regulations are the Climate Change (Stationary Energy and Industrial Processes) Amendment Regulations 2021.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 January 2022.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Climate Change (Stationary Energy and Industrial Processes) Regulations 2009.
4 Schedule 2 amended
In Schedule 2, replace table 10 with the table 10 set out in the Schedule of these regulations.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 January 2022, amend the Climate Change (Stationary Energy and Industrial Processes) Regulations 2009 (the principal regulations). These regulations replace table 10 in Schedule 2 of the principal regulations to—
update the default emissions factors for classes of mined or purchased natural gas to take account of changes in gas emissions; and
add the Cheal and Cardiff, the Copper Moki, and the Supplejack gas fields to the classes of natural gas defined by reference to the field at which they are mined.
