Pursuant to section 37 of the Road User Charges Act 2012, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Road User Charges (Exemption Period for Light Electric RUC Vehicles) Order 2012.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 August 2012.
3 Interpretation
In this order, Act means the Road User Charges Act 2012.
4 Exemption period for light electric RUC vehicles
For the purposes of section 37 of the Act, the period during which road user charges are not payable in respect of light electric RUC vehicles is the period—
(a)
beginning on the commencement of this order; and
(b)
ending with the close of 31 March 2024.

1 General
This is a consolidation of the Road User Charges (Exemption Period for Light Electric RUC Vehicles) Order 2012 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
