Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order comes into force on 9 April 2021. It amends Section B of Schedule 2 of the Health Act 1956, which lists the diseases notifiable to a medical officer of health (other than infectious diseases).

The item relating to non-occupational lead absorption is amended to change the notifiable level of lead absorption from 0.48 micromoles per litre to 0.24 micromoles per litre.
