These regulations are made under section 402(1) of the Building Act 2004 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister for Building and Construction.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Building (Infringement Offences, Fees, and Forms) Amendment Regulations 2022.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 11 December 2023.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Building (Infringement Offences, Fees, and Forms) Regulations 2007.
4 Schedule 1 amended
In Schedule 1, after the item relating to section 362T(4), insert:
| s 362VB(2)(a) to (c) | Supplying, offering to supply, or advertising the supply of building products in New Zealand without complying with prescribed information requirements | 1,000 | ||
| s 362VB(2)(d) | Importing building products into New Zealand for the purpose of supply without complying with prescribed information requirements | 1,000 |

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 11 December 2023, amend the Building (Infringement Offences, Fees, and Forms) Regulations 2007. They designate offences under section 362VB of the Building Act 2004 (which comes into force on 7 September 2022) as infringement offences for which the infringement fee is $1,000.
