This order is made under section 32(2)(a) of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Ombudsmen (Auckland Light Rail Limited) Order 2022.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 6 October 2022.
3 Principal Act
This order amends the Ombudsmen Act 1975.
4 Schedule 1 amended
In Schedule 1, Part 2, insert in its appropriate alphabetical order:

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 6 October 2022, inserts the name of Auckland Light Rail Limited into Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975.
Auckland Light Rail Limited is a new Crown entity company that has been established to prepare a business case and associated planning advice and activities during the planning phase of the Auckland Light Rail project.
The effect of this order is that both the Ombudsmen Act 1975 and the Official Information Act 1982 apply to Auckland Light Rail Limited.
Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2019.
Date of notification in Gazette: 6 October 2022.
