These regulations are made under section 9 of the Russia Sanctions Act 2022—
(a)
on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and
(b)
on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs made in accordance with section 8 of that Act.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Russia Sanctions Amendment Regulations (No 2) 2025.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 11 April 2025.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Russia Sanctions Regulations 2022.
4 Part 4 of table in Schedule 2 revoked
In Schedule 2, table, revoke Part 4.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 11 April 2025, amend the Russia Sanctions Regulations 2022 (the principal regulations).
These regulations remove the individual and the related class of persons listed in Part 4 of the table in Schedule 2 of the principal regulations so that they are no longer sanctioned individuals.
The principal regulations continue to fulfil their purpose, which is to give effect to the Russia Sanctions Act 2022 by imposing sanctions in response to Russia’s military actions in relation to Ukraine (and in response to any assistance given to Russia from any other country or person in connection with those actions).

These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
