Incorporated Societies Amendment Regulations 2023

These regulations are made under section 254 of the Incorporated Societies Act 2022—
(a)
on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and
(b)
on the recommendation of the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs made in accordance with section 254(3) of that Act.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Incorporated Societies Amendment Regulations 2023.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 5 October 2023.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Incorporated Societies Regulations 2023.
4 Regulation 16 amended (Annual financial statements of certain societies must be audited)
(1)
In regulation 16(2)(b), replace “operating payments”
with “operating expenditure”
and replace “are”
with “is”
.

with “operating expenditure”

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 5 October 2023, amend the Incorporated Societies Regulations 2023 (the principal regulations).
Regulation 16 of the principal regulations prescribes the kinds of societies that must ensure that their financial statements are audited by a qualified auditor for the purposes of section 105 of the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.
These regulations replace the term “operating payments”
used in regulation 16 of the principal regulations with “operating expenditure”
.
