These regulations are made under section 73 of the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

1 Title
These regulations are the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (Occupations Tribunal) Amendment Regulations 2025.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 July 2025.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (Occupations Tribunal) Regulations 1998.
4 Regulation 4 amended (Fee payable in respect of application)
In regulation 4(1), replace “$600”
with “$622”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2025, amend the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (Occupations Tribunal) Regulations 1998.
These regulations increase the fee payable, from $600 to $622 (including goods and services tax), to apply for the Trans-Tasman Occupations Tribunal to review a decision of a local registration authority under section 42 of the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997.
The fee is being increased by an inflation adjustment of 3.65%, which is based on a weighted average of the Labour Cost Index and the Producers Price Index. The new fee is rounded to the nearest dollar.

These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment.
