This order is made under section 117 of the Health Act 1956 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Health (Hairdressers) Regulations Revocation Order 2025.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 31 July 2025.
3 Revocation of Health (Hairdressers) Regulations 1980
The Health (Hairdressers) Regulations 1980 (SR 1980/143) are revoked.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 31 July 2025, revokes the Health (Hairdressers) Regulations 1980.
The effect of the revocation is that the obligations in the revoked regulations will no longer be legal requirements for hairdressers and hairdressing will no longer be regulated under the Health Act 1956.
