This order is made under section 2(2) of the Education and Training (Vocational Education and Training System) Amendment Act 2025 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

1 Title
This order is the Education and Training (Vocational Education and Training System) Amendment Act 2025 Commencement Order 2025.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force Parts 5 and 6 of Schedule 6 of the Education and Training (Vocational Education and Training System) Amendment Act 2025 on 1 January 2026. These provisions consequentially amend other legislation to take account of the disestablishment of workforce development councils under the Education and Training Act 2020 on 1 January 2026.
Date of notification in Gazette: 1 December 2025.
