These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2026, amend the Copyright (Infringing File Sharing) Regulations 2011. These regulations increase the fee payable for an application for a Copyright Tribunal order under section 122O of the Copyright Act 1994 from $240 to $245.22 (excluding goods and services tax).

The fee is being increased by an inflation adjustment of 2.25%, which is based on a weighted average of the Labour Cost Index and the Producers Price Index. The new fee has been calculated so that, once goods and services tax is added to it, the fee is rounded to the nearest dollar.
