This order is made under section 2 of the Civil Aviation Amendment Act 2023 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

2 Commencement of Civil Aviation Amendment Act 2023
The Civil Aviation Amendment Act 2023 comes into force on 23 July 2026.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force the Civil Aviation Amendment Act 2023 (the Act) on 23 July 2026.
The Act amends the Civil Aviation Act 2023 and related legislation to include provisions relating to in-flight security officers and foreign in-flight security officers.
Date of notification in Gazette: 25 June 2026.
This order is administered by the Ministry of Transport.
