Acts are laws made by Parliament
An indicative referendum petition shall not relate to a matter that is or could be or could have been the subject of an election petition under Part 8 of the Electoral Act 1993 or of an application under this Act.
Section 4 was amended, as from 1 July 1995, by section 3 Citizens Initiated Referenda Amendment Act 1994 (1994 No 146) by substituting the words “Part 8 of the Electoral Act 1993”
for the words “Part 6 of the Electoral Act 1956”
