Pursuant to section 2(1) of the Ozone Layer Protection Amendment Act 2011, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings the Ozone Layer Protection Amendment Act 2011 into force on 1 July 2011.

The Act amends the Ozone Layer Protection Act 1996 to provide for the Environmental Protection Authority to decide applications for exemption from a prohibition on the import, export, manufacture, sale, or use of ozone-depleting substances, and applications for permits to import or export ozone-depleting substances.
